KACE Operator Program
The KACE Operator Program is a 45-hour education course.
Upon successful completion of the course and the exam,
students will submit an application to KDADS to become a registered operator.
Program Format: Blend of remote learning and in-person class time.

Remote learning: Wednesday, January 20th- Monday, February 8th:
Delivered through an online learning management system students will:

study assignments (approximately 30 hours)

Scholarship opportunity:
The Tanner-Foster Educational Foundation sponsors one scholarship per Operartor Course. sponsor one Operator scholarship per course. One deserving student will receive a scholarship for full payment of the Operator course.

Please Note: Scholarship applications and course registration are separate processes. Applying for a scholarship does not register you for the course, and you may register
for the course regardless of whether you apply for a scholarship.
Course requirements:
Operator students must be at least 21 years of age.
Operator students must have and provide one of the following:
(1) Academic transcripts or proof of receipt of an associate’s degree in a relevant field (degrees in business, hospitality, gerontology, health & human services, or other degrees as approved by the secretary)
(2) Academic transcripts or proof of receipt of a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree
(3) High school diploma or the equivalent AND evidence of one year of relevant experience in business, hospitality, gerontology, health & human services, or other fields as approved by the secretary)
